Was it worth the price tag?

Hey beauts, happy weekend! (Tomorrow is a bank holiday so everyone's off work... Accept if you work in care, like me, in which case you never have a day off๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š
Over and over my friends ask me this question about the masses of products I've been stupid enough to actually splurge on in the past... Why didn't I just buy dupes? Because everyone knows, I love a name and I love nice packaging... If it's got the name I want, and looks pretty... I'm going to buy it.
So Nars, Nars, Nars. A name which many of us have contemplated but a few of us just can't justify the price tag that their products come hand in hand with.

Nars blush in Orgasm. Looking back, I don't know why I bought this. Was it the name? Was it the colour? Was it the classic Nars packaging? It's a mystery. But I'm glad I did. This blush has been talked about again and again by person after person, and I don't think it's going out of fashion any time soon.

This little beaut is a peach pink colour with gold shimmer running through it. In the summer you don't need much, a quick swipe over the cheeks and you'll have a perfect rosy glow. In the winter the pigmentation and colour is enough to ensure you look alive with blood running through you're veins, without bringing out your inner Coco the Clown. We've all been there... Weather we were 13, 18 or it was last week. We've all had a bad cheek day before. It is described as a "highlighting blush"... But as most of you will agree, a highlighting blush isn't enough. After using Orgasm, pick up your favourite highlight and amplify your cheekbones. Make sure they can see you from space!
This "cult beauty" staple has been raved about for so long. I like it, but not enough  to bang on about it to people. Also I've heard that this is one of those colours that is perfect for any skin tone... In my opinion, it's not. I can just about pull it off. If I was any pale-er (I'm pale enough, thank you genes) and any fairer, I'd probably look ill and my cheeks would look a glittery mess so do consider that if you're thinking about making this purchase. For me, it was worth the price tag... however, for a whopping £23, you want to be sure this is going to suit you! For a darker toned blush maybe try Deep Throat, that's next on my shopping list!
How do you feel about cult beauty/high end price tags on raved about products? Let me know in the comments! XOXO
